On of the nicest part of any wedding florist’s days is meeting with the bridal couple the week before the wedding to finalise their choice of flowers. Often the wedding flowers have been months in the planning with the lots emails and discussions between the bride and her florist. And as the big day approaches, the final decision about flowers has to be made. Where a mixture of different types of flowers are being used, this will be very dependent on what is available at the markets.
I always meet with my brides the week before to tell them what is available and what flower choices are available. For instance, with my bride this morning I was able to share the news that Sydney flower suppliers are importing peonies and so we will be able to use pale pink peonies in her bouquet. Sweetpeas have also come into season so we can use those for her bridesmaids who are having an all pink mixed flower bouquet.
My bride has decided on a bouquet similar to the above with white hydrangea, lisianthus and pale pink peonies.
Next week I will post a photo of the bouquet that we made for our bride.
